The Route 66 Mother Road Bicycle Tour
The only century ride in America to go through 3 states on historic Route 66!
October 8, 2011 - Joplin, Missouri
The Route 66 Mother Road Bicycle Tour will be held October 8, 2011 at Joplin Atheletic Complex (3301 West 1st Street) in Joplin, MO. The purpose of this event is to raise funds to build a trail system in the Southwest Missouri area.
100% of all funds raised will be used to develop, maintain, and enhance a regional trail system.
Rides
The main feature of the Route 66 Mother Road Bicycle Tour is the actual road ride. Ride lengths of 12, 33, 66 and 100 miles are offered. All rides are on cyclist-friendly stretches of the Mother Road. SAG support and rest stops with food and water will be provided. Maps of the routes will be available at the event.

Schedule
Friday, October 7
- 4:00pm to 7:00pm - Early packet pick-up at City Hall (rear parking lot) in Joplin.
Saturday, October 8
- 7:00am - "Day of" registration starts at Schifferdecker Park.
- 8:30am - The road ride starts.
- 4:00pm - Rest stops close and Sag support ends.
Cost
The cost for the road ride if prepaid by September 30, 2011 is $40.00. The price increases by $10.00 if paid after September 30, 2011. Children under 10 ride for free with a paid adult and can get a T-Shirt for $10.00. Don't delay,

Note: All registration fees are a donation to the Joplin Trails Coalition. As the fees are a donation to the trails, there will be no refunds offered for any reason.
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS
Post-Ride Meal
A post-ride meal will be served from 11:30 am to 4:00pm.
The post-ride meal is free for all registered riders and is available to non-riders for $6.00 per person.
