The first annual Route 66 Mother Road Bicycle Tour will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011. It is a fundraising event for the Joplin Trails Coalition. The ride is the perfect opportunity for you, or your business, to contribute towards community improvement throughout the region. Your donations will bring us one step closer to establishing a regional trail network that will not only connect all communities in the area, but also provide useful routes for non-motorized transportation within each community.
Anything you can provide will help. Obviously, cash donations can go directly to paying for materials and labor for trail construction. Donations of food and drink for the rest stops means less supplies the JTC has to purchase for the Maple Leaf Ride. Lower costs for the ride means more money for the devloping a trail system. Donations of items to be raffled also help as they provide additional incentive for people to participate in the ride.
